The first step in becoming certified is the B Impact Assessment (BIA). The BIA gives Hub a framework and guide to measure success against rigorous values and responsible practices as we scale as a company. One of Hub Australia’s values is Beyond Profit, in the swirl of being a fast-growing company, it helps us know if we are walking the walk or just talking about it.
In order to become a B Corp companies must meet a minimum 80 points verified in the BIA. The assessment aims to understand and capture the impact of a business on all of its stakeholders, including its workers, suppliers, community, and the environment. It looks at best practices regarding an organisation’s mission, measurement, and governance.
Organisations need to re-certify every 3 years. Hub aims to deepen its impact as a B Corp and support our members to do the same. If you are interested in finding out how to become a Certified B Corporation connect with Hub’s qualified expert team.
