Hey Lemonade is a wellbeing app designed to circuit break everyday stress and activate people’s optimism when dealing with life’s lemons. We sit down with Hey Lemonade co-founder Elise McCann to hear more about how the company came about – and how Hub Australia has supported her team.
When life throws you lemons
Elise McCann, co-founder of Hey Lemonade, tells us what Hey Lemonade does and how COVID played a big role in bringing the company about.
A real game changer
As a remote team that’s constantly on the move, Hey Lemonade often needs a space to meet and convene. And that’s why Elise says Hub Australia has been “a real game changer” to their business.
Connection and community through Hub
Elise shares about how Hub has impacted their work – which includes helping them build their team connection as well as new partnerships with other businesses.
Why apply for Flexi Impact
When asked if other businesses should consider applying for the Flexi Impact program, Elise says “We would 100% encourage other businesses to apply.”
Hard to play favourites
We made Elise choose her favourite Hub location – and she sneakily named more than one.
A space that caters to every need
To wrap up her experience at Hub, Elise says, “Our application and our business is based on being able to choose how you need to hear your support, when you need to hear it. Because on any given day, everyone needs support in a different way.
“And I feel like Hub is a bit like that. On any given day, you might need a quiet space that feels really contained. Another day you want to feel more creative and flexi, and you want to interact with people more, and be out and about.
“So, it fits our business model as well… Like, how we approach what our users need – you guys are providing that for us.”
