The City of Melbourne, RMIT Activator and Hub Australia have joined expert forces to launch a new program designed to support and promote 4 groundbreaking Melbourne businesses.
Launched this week, the City of Melbourne Accelerator Program (CoM X) is a 12-month pilot program designed for retail and hospitality startups.
The CoM X program is set to provide five Melbournian entrepreneurs with support as they work to increase their businesses presence in the market, expand their networks, and achieve early-stage traction.
Supported through RMIT Activator, an entrepreneurship initiative launched by RMIT University, each founder will gain access to world-class self-guided learning. They are able to make the most of everything from enrolment in professional courses to workshops and masterclasses, as well as personal sessions with a specialised startup coach.
“As Australia’s fastest growing city, Melbourne offers unlimited opportunities for startups to generate and develop new ideas.”
Councillor Philip Le Liu, Deputy Chair of the Knowledge City portfolio, City of Melbourne
Each of the successful candidates also receives access to a year in Hub Collins Street, joining the community of inspiring members already using the space to grow their ideas and businesses.
Located on Collins Street, this membership also locates them in one of the most aspirational areas of the city, surrounded by global brands and successful local businesses alike.
