After what has been a successful year of city-fringe location openings in Melbourne, with new sites opening in Richmond and on St Kilda Road, we’re set to expand our offering into Melbourne’s South with Hub Balaclava, due to open in 2025.

Developed in partnership with property developer, owner and manager, Ninety-Four Feet, Hub Balaclava will be our 14th site and will feature 2,900 sqm of premium workspace over three floors at the new Open Court development at 21-23 William Street, Balaclava.

Hospitality-led services and amenities shape the workspace

In addition to the three levels of flexible workspace that will be delivered, we’re also providing Hub Building Hospitality services for the benefit of all users of the Open Court development. Hub Building Hospitality offers a suite of hospitality-led services to building owners to create a premium experience and attract quality tenants looking to satisfy employee needs.

At Hub Balaclava, these services and amenities will include a rooftop basketball court and exercise area, communal rooftop gardens, amphitheatre, media studio, parents facilities, café, concierge, and a range of serviced meeting and event spaces.

“The world of work has changed immeasurably in recent years, and occupiers of leased space and flexible workspace have higher expectations of amenity and workspace services than ever before. Working alongside progressive property owners, Hub is able to cater for these ever-increasing demands.”

Supporting the business community of the south

Earlier this year we announced a partnership with one of Australia’s largest retail providers, Vicinity Centres, to develop Hub Box Hill at Box Hill Central that’s due to open in late 2022.

This partnership marked the first foray into a retail precinct for Hub Australia, creating an exciting new offering that provides our unique hospitality-led customer experience to suburban members. Hub Local – Box Hill will support work-near-home initiatives, giving workers the opportunity to access state-of-the-art office facilities and communities in suburban locations close to their homes.

Hub Balaclava represents our next step in supporting business communities that aren’t CBD-based, utilising the Hub Building Hospitality product to meet a range of other needs from occupiers that go beyond the simple provision of ‘space’.

“Balaclava offers an engaging and attractive option being very accessible, close to home for many millennial workers who live in the southern city fringe, and surrounded by a thriving, activated and eclectic mix of retail amenities and culture. This destination meets the aspirational goals of CEOs wanting to attract and retain the best talent.”

– Dean Rzechta, Chief Executive Officer, Ninety-Four Feet
